ABOUT THE MEETUP

Social Chess Club at Roleystone Family Centre

The Roleystone Family Centre is pleased to introduce a Social Chess Club, joining our popular Mahjong Club as part of our community activities.

This club is designed for participants who already have a basic understanding of how to play chess. Please note that formal instruction will not be provided. This is a social group focused on friendly games and connection.

Participation offers many benefits, including:

  • Social connection and community engagement
  • A relaxed and welcoming environment
  • Opportunities to enjoy and improve your game through play

The Social Chess Club is wheelchair accessible, and the space is arranged to support a range of accessibility needs. Carers are very welcome to attend to support participants and may do so free of charge.

Tea and coffee facilities are available, and participants are encouraged to bring their own snacks if they wish.

This group is suitable for chess players of all backgrounds and abilities, and everyone is warmly welcome to attend.

    HOW TO JOIN?

We’ve made booking easier than ever—just click the “Book This Workshop Now” button below to get started!

A quick note before you book:
To help us continue receiving support from the Department of Communities, we kindly ask for a few basic demographic details during the booking process. This helps us report on how our workshops and classes are being used. Rest assured, your personal information—like names and email addresses—is kept completely private and is never shared with any third parties.

Booking for more than one person?
You can now purchase multiple tickets in one go! If you’re booking on behalf of others, we’ll need their personal and demographic details too—so it’s a good idea to have those handy when you book.

Thanks for helping us keep these programs running and accessible to everyone in our community!
